Dino & Ryan
Dino first contacted me about shooting, but said he was curious of shooting something with a lover of his. I said I was down, it would be a new experience for me also and so we set a date. Ryan was already used to shooting porn, so to him it was like a fish to water I imagine, but for Dino it was his first experience. It was also my first time shooting 2 people having sex, being a total voyeur, manoeuvring around the room getting the best angles, shooting on steadicam, tripod, and also photographing stills. It was super frustrating, I remember after the shoot my dick was dripping wet in my pants. I wanted to capture something honest and beautiful. I captured them totally naturally, and so nothing was staged at all. I didn’t want to stage anything (which is very hard while shooting a sex scene, because unfortunately you lose key moments, usually down to a technical camera issue). The boys knew each other already and had a lot of natural chemistry, so I just said go for it and pretend I’m not here, which they did. It was a totally new experience for me, but really organic and beautiful. I felt like everyone was calm and relaxed, and enjoying themselves, and so for me it was a mutual celebration of gay sex, and first and foremost that is what I want my work to express.
